Feedback

Greetings and Salutations,

The Purgated is an interesting journey on the writing side and I hope it’s an interesting journey on the reading side as well. I use an iterative process of writing. It starts with a rough draft, I just launch into the next scene like stepping off a moving train, or onto one. I often have zero idea what that scene will be. I might know that a character or characters are in a place or about to do a thing but what actually happens in that place or what they actually do is a mystery until it pours onto the page. I was as surprised as you were when X happened and I totally didn’t expect Y to happen. Once I have a roughly drafted scene I refine it. Then I sit my wife and daughters down and I read the refined draft to them, I hope that never changes. Based on their feedback I make the smoothed draft. Sometimes the smoothed draft goes into the full chapter posted in the free to read section of this website and sometimes it gets refined a little more. It’s fairly common for current writing to have a ripple effect back through previous chapters. I try to let you, my dear readers, know when that happens. Make sure you read the “News!” section now and again that’s where I let you know about that sort of thing.

Below is your opportunity to let me know what you like and what you don’t like. I can’t promise your feedback will be reflected in the writing. I’m often along for the ride as much as you are. I can promise that I’ll read your feedback and that I care what you have to say. This journey is meaningless without us both. Thank you for coming along on it. God bless and keep you. If you don’t believe in God and you’re a fan of this series anyway then may He bless you all the more. Your suspending more disbelief than the folks who do believe in Him and read my work, shaking their heads at my interpretation of our faith.
